Job summary

Children’s Services of Roxbury, Inc. seeks a Stabilization Case Manager to assist families in shelter as they move toward permanent housing. You will assess strengths, support two years of services, and collaborate with shelter staff to improve family well‑being and stability.

You’ll work in Boston, coordinating with the CSR Workforce Development team and local resources to prevent homelessness and promote self‑sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience working with formerly homeless or low‑income families.
• Written and verbal fluency in the English language required.
• Reliable transportation for home visits and meetings required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in human service or a related field preferred.
• Ability to speak/write in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet families monthly in their homes across Boston and refer to community resources to support long-term stability.
• Complete stabilization assessments and establish service plans addressing housing barriers.
• Assist with relationships with landlords and housing providers; provide quarterly check-ins.
• Support families to stay in compliant leases and stabilize housing.
• Coordinate legal services, appeals, mediation, and housing court involvement as needed.
• Improve financial literacy and help families access eligible benefits.
• Assist families in obtaining health insurance and primary care.
• Conduct interventions and crisis management per agency policies.
• Maintain client files and report data in line with contract requirements.
