Coalition For The Homeless of Central Florida, Inc is seeking a Shelter Case Manager to deliver housing-focused case management for individuals and families experiencing homelessness at the Center for Women and Families and the Men's Service Center. You will help guests access stable housing while addressing barriers with trauma-informed care and person-centered planning.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a social services field or equivalent with relevant advocacy/case management experience.
• Experience serving diverse populations with strong conflict resolution, critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including Saturdays.
• Bilingual candidates and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Must complete Level II Background Screening and be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management to individuals and families experiencing homelessness to achieve housing stability.
• Promote self-respect, self-reliance, and hope while guests work toward goals.
• Provide up-to-date referrals to community resources and follow up to ensure connection to services.
• Advocate for guests with community partners, including courts and social services.
• Facilitate connections for housing, benefits, employment, and other stability solutions.
• Assist with public benefits applications and follow-up to resolve barriers.
• Provide financial literacy and housing readiness education, including move-in planning.
• Assist clients in achieving housing goals and reducing shelter length of stay.
• Prepare and submit reports to the Department of Children and Families.
• Enter case notes and document services in HMIS; collect data for reports.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Shelter Housing Manager.
