Job summary

Coalition For The Homeless of Central Florida, Inc. is seeking a Stabilization Case Manager to provide housing-focused case management for RRH participants and shelter guests transitioning to permanent housing with rental assistance.

You will coordinate moving logistics, develop Housing Stability Plans, build monthly budgets, assist with applications and lease negotiations, and connect clients to housing resources while maintaining confidentiality and documentation in HMIS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a social services field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of documented case management experience.
• Experience in homelessness services is preferred.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and/or weekends.
• Bi-lingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with clients and document interactions in HMIS within 24 hours.
• Develop Housing Stability Plans with clients addressing barriers to permanent housing.
• Build a comprehensive monthly budget with clients to promote financial stability.
• Identify suitable housing options based on client needs and resources.
• Assist with applications, fees, and lease negotiations with landlords.
• Assist clients in obtaining household items through donations.
• Mediate with landlords and de-escalate crises as needed.
• Provide time-limited services to stabilize quickly in permanent housing.
• Connect clients to resources for safety, well-being, and long-term goals.
• Monitor housing stability and support crisis resolution.
• Maintain documentation for monthly reporting.
• Demonstrate teamwork and maintain client confidentiality.
