Job summary

Catholic Community Services of Western Washington is seeking a Bertha’s Place Case Manager to support residents in transitioning to permanent housing. You will assess housing needs using motivational interviewing, develop strength-based housing plans, and provide ongoing case management to help clients exit shelter to stable housing.

The role emphasizes compassionate, trauma-informed care, collaboration with shelter staff, and detailed record-keeping.

Qualifications

• AA in a human or social services field or 2 years shelter generalist experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and database experience.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with insurance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preference for bilingual English–Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assess housing needs using Motivational Interviewing and engagement techniques.
• Develop and initiate housing stability plans with client-centered goals.
• Provide case management to Bertha’s Place clients to assist housing placement.
• Maintain accurate case notes, participate in weekly meetings, and prepare reports.
• Attend weekly team meetings and other supervisor-directed meetings.
