Job summary

FRIENDSHIP SERVICE CENTER is seeking a dedicated Supportive Housing Specialist to support participants toward stability in housing and services. You will conduct person-centered case management, coordinate benefits, and help participants access mental health, substance use, and employment services.

You will maintain HMIS records, collaborate with housing partners, and advocate for tenant rights, while working from a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach to end homelessness in our community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services/Social Work.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Suite and other databases; strong written and oral communication.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with diverse populations; knowledge of mental health, substance use, and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services and linkage to housing, benefits, medical, and employment services.
• Assist with housing search, inspections, and move-in paperwork with landlords.
• Document intake, assessments and case notes; input data into HMIS within 48 hours.
• Attend meetings with program staff and community partners; participate in trainings and events.
• Advocate for tenant rights and support conflict resolution as needed.
