Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada is seeking full-time Support Staff for the Adolfo Housing Program at the Mather Community Campus. You will ensure the safety and well-being of clients while providing compassionate, professional service to residents and maintaining a welcoming environment.

This role requires strong teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to de-escalate crises.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and comprehend oral and written instructions.
• Experience working with foster youth, homelessness, and diverse populations.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of clients and property.
• Provide respectful, compassionate support to program participants.
• Maintain shift logs and incident reports.
• Assist with client move-ins and transportation.
• Monitor fire safety and evacuation procedures.
• Prepare living spaces and conduct housekeeping.
• De-escalate crises and adhere to confidentiality laws.
