Job summary

VOA Northern California & Northern Nevada is seeking a full-time Support Staff member for the Adolfo Housing Program at the Mather Community Campus. The role emphasizes safety, supportive interaction, and program objectives, with duties spanning security, documentation, and resident support.

Responsibilities include crisis de-escalation, maintaining logs, and assisting residents with educational and housing goals.

Qualifications

• This position requires the ability to communicate and comprehend oral and written instructions and to provide services to clients without ethnic or social prejudices.
• Must have flexibility to work irregular hours and be a team member; valid California driver’s license and meet insurance guidelines.
• CPR/First Aid training is required within 90 days of employment; background clearances must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fire safety and evacuation procedures and ensure residents respond appropriately in emergencies.
• Provide awake mobile shift coverage and maintain grounds security at all times.
• Document activities in logs and complete incident reports; assist residents with move-ins and basic needs.
• Support client development by helping with educational, vocational, housing goals and conflict resolution.
