Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking full-time Support Staff for the Family Program at the Mather Community Campus. The role supports residents compassionately, with scheduled swing and overnight shifts, offering a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include rules explanation, daily operations, safety checks, crisis response, and thorough documentation. CPR/First Aid certification and background clearances are required within 90 days.

Formación

• Ability to communicate and comprehend instructions to provide services to clients.
• Pass all required background clearances; CPR/First Aid within 90 days of employment.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and function as a team member.

Responsabilidades

• Explain program rules and facilitate residents’ observance of rules.
• Coordinate meal preparation/service, bed assignments, showers, laundry, and daily routines.
• Provide awake shift coverage and maintain grounds security; conduct hourly safety checks.
• De-escalate crises and provide emergency assistance as needed.
• Maintain daily reports and shift logs; document client concerns and infractions.
• Perform housekeeping and other maintenance tasks as required; ensure health/sanitation standards.
• Communicate with residents and on-site staff to support program objectives.
• Assist with training and development of new staff.
• Commit to self-development through required trainings and certifications.
