Job summary

AID Atlanta, Inc. is seeking a Housing Information and Resource Specialist to help clients access housing information and resources through the agency and community providers.

You will screen for eligibility, create client records, and refer eligible clients to housing services. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience with social services or housing programs, strong organizational and data-entry skills, and the ability to work with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Experience with social service or housing programs is preferred.
• Strong ability to assess client needs for housing or other social services.
• Skill in developing and maintaining databases and spreadsheets in Excel.
• Experience with grant compliance, reporting, and non-profit administration is preferred.
• Knowledge of housing entitlement systems and procedures.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with clients and agencies; travel as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with clients to assess eligibility for case management and services.
• Initiate electronic records for unestablished clients in the agency database.
• Upload proof of eligibility in client records.
• Input client information accurately to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Document work in client databases per standards.
• Refer clients to Department of Client Services for housing programs.
• Maintain confidential client information and records.
• Establish and maintain an active list of housing resources and leads.
• Cultivate relationships with housing providers to maintain resources.
• Screen clients for services on an on-call and ongoing basis.
• Generate monthly program updates and screening reports.
