Job summary

AIDS Healthcare Foundation in Atlanta, GA, is seeking Housing Assistants to review and process housing assistance applications (STRMU, SDAP, TBRA). You will coordinate with case managers to ensure applications meet HOPWA standards and relay payment details to the finance team for checks to landlords and vendors.

You will maintain records, conduct six-month reviews, and communicate outcomes to clients, landlords, and providers, ensuring timely payments within program guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years working in the social service field.
• Experience with the terminally ill and AIDS program development preferred.
• Skill in developing and maintaining databases and spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
• Bi-lingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process, verify eligibility and select applications for financial assistance.
• Complete required documentation, tracking, monitoring and reporting for grant purposes.
• Communicate with Case Managers, Group Managers and Members regarding outcomes of financial assistance applications.
• Maintain records compliant with HIPAA for all financial assistance programs.
• Conduct 6 month reviews for recipients of financial assistance.
• Coordinate communications with landlords, utility companies and providers to obtain information.
