Qualifications

• Experience with HUD-funded programs (CDBG, HOME) preferred.
• Strong understanding of housing development, rehab, and neighborhood revitalization.
• Ability to work with residents, contractors, and city officials.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid Michigan Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HUD-funded programs (CDBG, HOME) and related initiatives.
• Manage residents’ applications and determine eligibility per guidelines.
• Maintain audit-ready records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assign contractors and verify licenses and insurance coverage.
• Review project milestones and coordinate timely payments to vendors.
• Conduct inspections to ensure quality and code compliance.
• Facilitate sale of city-owned lots and promote local housing initiatives.
• Present at City Council meetings to advance approvals.
