Job summary

Port Huron is seeking a Community Development Program Specialist to perform a range of duties administering local, state and federally funded programs and to provide administrative support for implementation.

The role requires coordinating with City Inspectors, Contractors and HUD systems, preparing monthly/quarterly/annual reports, and ensuring compliance with federal guidelines while maintaining program funding and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Experience with HUD-funded projects and community development programs.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal community development policies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to interpret regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties for housing rehabilitation and related programs.
• Meet with clients and coordinate with City Inspectors, Contractors and other stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports; use HUD-mandated systems for tracking and accounting.
