Job summary

Pathways Vermont is seeking a Housing Coordinator to support the Permanent Supportive Housing program in Washington and Addison Counties. You will secure apartments, negotiate with landlords, and help ensure housing retention for clients, while coordinating with service teams and community partners.

The role requires travel, in-person work, and full-time hours with an emphasis on building relationships with landlords, tenants, and housing authorities.

Qualifications

• Experience with housing and subsidy programs preferred.
• Ability to initiate relationships and negotiations with landlords.
• Fast-paced environment requires strong problem solving, organizational skills and reliability.
• Proficient in computer use and multi-tasking across systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect housing history information including income, rental, and credit histories.
• Assist clients in identifying housing with long-term subsidies and moving into independent housing.
• Coordinate with service teams to house families with short-term subsidies.
• Locate vacant apartments and support client applications to secure housing.
• Negotiate lease terms with landlords and educate landlords about Pathways' contracts.
