Job summary

Pathways Vermont seeks a Housing Coordinator to join the statewide housing team and partner with PSH services. The role focuses on securing apartments, negotiating with landlords, and keeping clients housed with long‑term subsidies. Travel is required and some schedule flexibility is expected.

The position supports PSH clients, collaborates with service providers, landlords, and housing authorities, and ensures compliance with HUD contracts while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing or service coordination preferred.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility in schedule.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collect and maintain information related to housing history and income data.
• Identify housing opportunities with subsidies and move clients into independent housing.
• Partner with service teams to house homeless families with short term subsidies.
• Locate vacancies and support clients in applications.
• Negotiate with landlords and educate landlords about Pathways services.
• Develop landlord networks to increase affordable units.
• Meet with clients to discuss housing needs and expectations.
• Provide housing counseling and act as liaison between client and landlord.
• Oversee lease ups, move-ins/outs, and inspections per Housing Quality Standards.
• Ensure compliance with HUD contracts and subsidy rules.
• Maintain electronic databases for leasing and client records.
