SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the supervision of the Housekeeping staff and to insure the overall cleanliness of the property.
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required and a minimum of one year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Assist in the preparation of housekeeping reports. Report all maintenance problems to the coordinator. Communicate all Rush/Priority rooms to the room attendant and follow-up until rooms are complete and given to the coordinator. Knowledgeable of Ecolab products/pesticides Knowledgeable in Safety and OSHA requirements. Inspect VIP arrivals and stay over rooms. Monitor the scheduling of room pulls. Assignspecial projects to room attendants and house persons daily to maintain cleanliness in rooms and public areas. Ensure all assigned equipment is maintained in a clean and working order. Transport departmental employees as necessary. Assist in the oversight of Pubic Space staff as needed. Review daily activity reports & Pinehurst Today. Review occupancy and room type availability. Check with Housekeeping Coordinator for house status and insure accurate account of room statuses. Conduct Public Space inspections to ensure: restrooms are clean, all tissue paper and toilet par have C-folds are present, picture frames are dusted, urinals are cleaned, lobby area vacuumed, windows smear free, ashtrays emptied, soap refilled and overall cleanliness. Follow up with coordinator and/or Front Desk for any room pick-ups, delayed service and/or service requests. Insure all guest laundry is delivered by Bell Staff. Check all guest floors, stairwells and linen closets for trays, roll-aways, debris, etc. Ensure all roll-aways are properly made. Provide feedback on inspection results: guests & VIP rooms, linen closets, carts, floors, stairwells and housekeeping vehicles. Conduct training and follow up on training practices and incentives. Provide Coaching and Counseling to Housekeeping staff as needed. Analyze Rguest and Visual One reports and update room status.
Directly supervises room attendants and house persons. Supervises Public Space staff as needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
