Job summary

La-Fonda-On-the-Plaz in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to lead the team and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout guest rooms and public areas.

The role requires inspecting spaces, assigning tasks, managing supplies, and assisting with large projects while ensuring guest satisfaction and a professional, collaborative work environment. A flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and mentor the team.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for quality and cleanliness.
• Issue assignments, review special requests, and manage supply replenishment.
• Assist with room rushes, in-house moves, and large C/O days.
• Respond to guest requests and coordinate with front desk.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Supervise the housekeeping staff, providing open communication, work with and respect all staff members and must be a positive mentor and role model to all staff.

• -Must be able to conduct a thorough inspection in all c/o guest rooms and public areas.
• -Issue assignments to staff , reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to insure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operations.
• -Issue staff cleaning solutions and supplies at beginning of shift. Will assist with replenishing supplies and filling chemicals bottles on the housekeeper’s carts at the end of each day.
• -Assists room cleaners with room rushes, in house moves, on large C/O days.
• -Perform any additional work assigned to you
• -Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems
• -Communicate with the front desk staff. Communicate, Respect and Work with all co-workers and senior management in a professional and team like manner.
• -Log items into the lost and found and answer any inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction.
• -Assist with weekly projects and renovation projects.
• -Comply with attendance rules and be able to work on a regular basis.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Must have some housekeeping supervisor experience .
• Must have the ability to communicate in English. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests and be a team player. Climbing, standing, walking and routinely lifting 25 to 50 pounds. Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
