Job summary

The Crescent Hotels Group in Bethesda, MD is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to lead the room attendant team and maintain high cleanliness standards across the property. You will supervise staff, inspect guest rooms and public areas, and ensure smooth operation with accurate scheduling and inventory control.

A minimum of one year supervisory/inspector experience in hotel housekeeping, strong English communication, and the ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of hotel housekeeping supervisory/inspector experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the housekeeping staff; provide training, coaching and performance feedback.
• Inspect and supervise cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house.
• Assign tasks and ensure smooth flow of housekeeping operations.
• Manage supplies and inventory to control costs.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle Lost and Found items and inquiries to maintain controls.
• Implement emergency procedures and ensure safety of guests and staff.
• Maintain regular attendance and willingness to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends. Must have a minimum of one year hotel housekeeping supervisory/inspector experience.

• Supervise the housekeeping staff; providing open communication, training, coaching and counseling and providing performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
• Issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift in order to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquires to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guests, staff and company assets.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

• Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Climbing, reading, standing, walking and routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs. Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
