Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Center is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead 40–120 staff, plan schedules, and ensure timely room readiness for guests. You will coordinate with Operations leadership to align staffing with arrivals, turnovers, and stays, while maintaining safety and quality standards across all lodges and cabins.

The role emphasizes process improvement, training, and collaboration with Front Desk to deliver mission-based hospitality in a dynamic, seasonal environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of management experience in hospitality or a related field.
• Experience in purchasing and inventory management.
• Experience in creating and evaluating cleaning processes to ensure high cleanliness.
• Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Valid USA driver license with driving record for YMCA vehicles.
• Ability to operate YMCA vehicles including vans/trucks in all weather.
• Spanish bilingual is helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to 40–120 housekeeping and laundry staff.
• Review weekly staffing forecasts and scheduling with direct reports.
• Plan daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning schedules.
• Use forecasting tools to assign staffing levels for arrivals and stays.
• Evaluate operations and suggest improvements to the Director of Operations.
• Interview, hire, set performance standards, supervise, and review.
• Oversee Crew Leaders and supervise seasonal staff.
• Communicate room status changes quickly to Front Desk via tech.
• Train staff to meet cleaning standards; perform quality checks.
• Train new seasonal housekeeping staff in all accommodations.
• Complete daily quality inspections with leadership.
• Purchase supplies within budget; process invoices timely.
• Ensure machinery, chemicals, and vehicles are maintained.
• Enforce safety practices for chemicals, biohazards, and machinery.
• Assist with inspections and cleaning as needed; lead when required.
• Oversee all housekeeping cleaning operations.
