Responsibilities include supervising 4–10 staff, ensuring safe handling of chemicals and vehicles, and reporting progress to the Operations Manager. Bilingual skills preferred; driver’s license may be required.

  • Assist with the operation of Lost and Found, Dish Room, and Quality Control duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park Center, a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center serving more than 150,000 guests annually. The Housekeeping Crew Leader is responsible for leading a housekeeping team in cleaning cabins and lodges, ensuring quality, accountability, efficiency, and timeliness in preparing guest accommodations in accordance with Estes Park Center housekeeping standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Report to the Housekeeping Operations Manager regarding project progress, team performance, and departmental needs.
  • Possess a valid U.S. state-issued driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles.
  • Possess the physical stamina required to work in the environment described herein.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the hospitality industry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Work is performed primarily indoors within cabins, lodges, and common areas, with occasional work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to move about the property to access different work areas and support crew members as needed.
  • Regularly requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Includes frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying of cleaning supplies or equipment.
  • Must be able to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  • The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate but may vary depending on location and time of day.
