Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the Housekeeping Department and lead a team of room attendants and attendants in Reno. You will supervise staff, assist with scheduling and training, manage inventory, and ensure safety and quality standards are met across areas including linen rooms and laundry.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and guest-relations skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry.
• Experience supervising housekeeping staff and coordinating shifts.
• Ability to handle guest concerns promptly and courteously.
• Strong scheduling, planning, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety practices and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all functions of the Housekeeping Department Team Members.
• Assist with staffing: postings, interviews, hiring, scheduling, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Provide ongoing training to increase knowledge and skills of staff.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals, supplies, and equipment for department projects.
• Ensure chemicals and equipment are properly identified, labeled, and safe to use.
• Oversee cleanliness of linen rooms, laundry, lost and found, storage, and carts.
• Address guest complaints promptly and effectively and coordinate with leadership as needed.
