Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno seeks a Property Operations Assistant Director to lead the safety, maintenance, and energy programs for the hotel. You will direct facility operations, manage budgets, and supervise engineering staff to ensure high service levels and profitability.

This role requires extensive facilities management experience in large properties, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate capital projects, safety compliance, and daily engineering tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 years’ experience in large property facilities supervisory experience or a related field.
• Commercial building maintenance experience in hotel/casino/resort industries preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and Alcohol Awareness card required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility safety and functionality per regulations.
• Manage budgeting, staffing, and cost controls for the department.
• Lead capital projects and rehabilitation efforts including scheduling and bidding.
• Direct daily engineering activity and ensure energy management programs.
• Prepare reports and communicate with guests and team members.
