Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Manager in the United States to supervise housekeeping and laundry operations and uphold quality and brand standards. The role focuses on guest satisfaction, inventory security, and cost control while leading a team across multiple hotel areas.

The ideal candidate will have five years of housekeeping experience with supervisory training, strong English communication, and a knack for organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus five years housekeeping experience including a minimum of one year of supervisory training/experience.
• Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Reading and writing abilities are required to communicate with guests and co-workers and to read manuals and safety information.
• Budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages and variances.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service and ensure guest satisfaction using G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Ensure staff are trained and have supplies and equipment to perform their jobs.
• Lead housekeeping to deliver clean rooms that meet brand standards and occupancy goals.
• Recruit, develop and manage the Housekeeping staff in collaboration with Operations Manager.
• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance; provide retraining as needed.
