Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to supervise housekeeping and laundry operations onsite, ensuring quality standards and exceptional guest service. You will lead a small team, enforce standards, and coordinate with the Operations Manager on staffing, training, and inventory management.

The ideal candidate has five years in housekeeping with supervisory experience, strong English communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus five years housekeeping experience including a minimum of one year of supervisory training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients.
• Manage according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards and instill a passion for customer service in all associates of the hotel.
• Create processes to ensure the hotel is supplied with guest amenities and kept clean.
• Ensure staff are trained and have supplies and equipment needed to perform duties.
• Lead delivery of clean rooms for occupancy meeting time, product and placement standards.
• Partner with Operations Manager to monitor performance and take HR actions as needed.
• Recruit, develop, and manage Housekeeping staff.
• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and good repair.
• Provide retraining as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning suites.
• Manage laundry operations and inventory of linen and supplies.
• Enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures within housekeeping.
