Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living at Delmar Place in Delmar, NY is hiring a detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain clean resident apartments and common areas. The role offers a full-time schedule: Wednesday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday to Sunday 7am-3pm, with pay between $16 and $18 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• One year of related housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (mangle, iron, washer/dryer, vacuums).
• Able to read and follow written and oral directions.

Responsibilities

• Clean public areas and residents’ apartments including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Sweep and vacuum all assigned areas.
• Follow cleaning schedule and supervisor instructions.
• Polish room furnishings and HVAC units as required.
• Maintain resident rooms and common areas in a clean, orderly condition.

Housekeeper Responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights
• Cleans public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas
• Sweep and vacuum all assigned areas
• Performs all housekeeping duties, following a cleaning schedule and instructions as directed by supervisor
• Clean and/or polish all room furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating/air conditioning units in resident rooms and all public areas

Housekeeper Education & Experience:

• One year of related experience in a similar environment with on-the-job-training preferred
• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as mangle, iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc. as required
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job required
