Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living Cheektowaga, NY, is seeking a energetic Housekeeper for a per diem role to maintain clean resident areas and public spaces. You will follow a cleaning schedule, support residents’ rights, and help create a safe, comfortable environment for the senior population.

The role requires ability to operate cleaning equipment and read/write directions; offers flexible scheduling, benefits, and growth opportunities within a leading memory-care provider.

Qualifications

• One-year related experience in a similar environment with on-the-job-training preferred.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as mangle, iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums as required.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Cleans public areas and resident’s apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Sweep and vacuum all assigned areas.
• Performs all housekeeping duties, following a cleaning schedule and instructions as directed by supervisor.
• Clean and/or polish all room furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating/air conditioning units in resident rooms and all public areas.
