This full-time role oversees a group home for adults who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, providing leadership, operations management, and program development to ensure safe, high-quality living spaces and resident well-being. Responsibilities include supervision of direct care staff, creating individualized plans, coordinating healthcare, and promoting inclusive living.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in ASL (American Sign Language).
  • Bachelor’s or higher in Education, Special Education, Social Work, or related field; or related experience.
  • Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License with safe driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid certification and safety care training provided.
  • Proficiency with basic technology and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing maximum independence, responsibility and self-worth.
  • Integrate quality of life principles into daily management and program development.
  • Prepare and implement program goals, individual service plans and progress notes.
  • Nurture positive relationships with individuals, families, guardians and providers.
  • Provide for healthcare needs and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Directly supervise a team of direct care staff.
  • Interview, hire and train employees and plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems; handle on-call emergencies.

Salary: $58,500.00

The Residential House Manager offers personalized, person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a group home setting. They provide strategic leadership, manage operations, and oversee the residential program. This position emphasizes maintaining high-quality, safe, and inclusive living spaces, promoting each resident’s well-being and achievements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and advancing organizational goals through effective program development, staff supervision, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities Include
  • Assisting in the development of maximum independence, responsibility and self-worth

  • Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with WORK Inc.’s company policy and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire and train employees.
  • Planning, assigning, training and directing work.
  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • On call responsibilities including out of hours emergencies.
