Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP is seeking a Steward PT to support our kitchen operations at Graduate Providence in Providence, RI. The role emphasizes maintaining cleanliness, proper storage of equipment, and safe sanitation practices in a fast-paced hotel kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include heavy duty cleaning of ovens and surfaces, washing pots and utensils, stocking supplies, and assisting with food storage while adhering to Highgate standards and health regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field experience preferred.
• Flexible hours and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Effective communication with team and guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standard of cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
• Heavy cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, walk-in refrigerators and freezers and other heavy kitchen equipment.
• Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following sanitation procedures.
• Sweep, mop and wash floors in all food and beverage areas.
• Operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure that all china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly.
• Follow sanitation standards and safety procedures.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of restaurant buffet as required.
• Assist Banquets by supplying china, glass, and silver as required.
