Job summary

The Steward position at Graduate Providence, a Highgate Hotels property, is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and proper storage of all kitchen equipment, dishes and cutlery, while assisting kitchen staff and ensuring proper food storage and rotation. You will help maintain the cleanliness of kitchens and storage areas and support overall food and beverage operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field preferred.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Ability to stand during entire shift and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in kitchens, back dock, and utility areas.
• Heavy duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, walls, floors, and walk-in coolers.
• Wash pots, pans, and utensils; vacuum and clean carpeted areas in F&B outlets.
• Sweep, mop and wash floors in all kitchen and restaurant areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and return clean wares to storage with care.
• Follow proper chemical handling safety and report faulty equipment.
