Job summary

The Westin Great Southern Columbus is seeking a security team member to patrol the historic hotel, observe safety risks, and respond calmly to emergencies. You will communicate in English, assist guests, and maintain order while protecting guests, associates, and property.

Candidates should have at least one year of experience and the ability to stand and move for long shifts, including lifting up to 150 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• At least one year of experience.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Stand, walk and/or sit for the duration of the shift.
• Able to lift or move goods up to 150 lbs.
• Perform duties in extreme temperature ranges.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of the shift on foot patrol, observe safety risks and respond calmly to incidents.
• Maintain order, assist guests, and address door lock problems as needed.
• Watch for suspicious persons and conduct hotel-wide walk-through observations.
• Memorize and monitor life safety systems and equipment locations.
