Job summary

The Westin Great Southern Columbus is seeking a security team member to help ensure guest safety and property security in a historic downtown hotel. This role requires English communication, at least one year of security experience, a professional appearance, and the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 150 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• At least one year experience.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
• Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 150 lbs
• Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.

Responsibilities

• Patrol interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
• Maintain order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, and assist with door lock problems; respond to emergencies calmly.
• Watch for suspicious persons and conduct walk-through observations of the hotel.
• Memorize and monitor life safety systems installed at the property.
