Responsibilities
- Perform administrative and organizational functions in support of the hotel’s sales leadership team
- Promptly answer telephone calls and communicate relevant account information to managers and hotel departments
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding professionally to questions and requests by phone and email
- Generate and distribute resumes and BEOs and lead the weekly BEO & Resume meeting
- Enter rooming lists, notes, and pickup information into sales systems on a weekly basis
- Reserve and confirm guest rooms, meeting space, and banquet space as needed
- Send cutoff reminders, follow-up communications, and thank-you emails
- Process payments, prepare estimates, and send final bills
- Enter, retrieve, reconcile, and verify sales-related information, including commissions, leads, and third-party accounts
- Coordinate with hotel operations teams to ensure the seamless execution of group stays and events
- Communicate courteously and professionally with clients and respond to all inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files of contracts, correspondence, and other sales documentation
- Assist with hotel events, promotions, and social media postings as needed
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays as needed
Requirements for Success
- Previous sales or hospitality experience; experience with Hilton or another hotel brand is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, clients, and team members
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and common sense when carrying out written and verbal instructions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with hotel policies, procedures, and operations
- Ability and willingness to attend all required hotel meetings and training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with at least two of the following systems: PEP, ONQ, DELPHI, or STS
- Understanding of hotel reservations and sales systems
- Ability to effectively utilize social media for hotel promotions, events, and updates
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Pay: $19.00 per hour
