Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is opening a new restaurant management role in Birmingham, AL, overseeing daily restaurant operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will manage staff, inventory, budgeting, and compliance with safety and service standards.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years in hospitality, strong leadership, and a solid understanding of food and beverage operations, with a focus on guest satisfaction and brand integrity.

Qualifications

• Current food handler’s card and alcohol service certifications as required by law.
• 3–5 years’ hospitality experience, guest-focused.
• High School diploma required; Hospitality degree preferred.
• General restaurant operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Uphold brand standards and ensure staff accountability.
• Organize and prioritize work and delegate tasks to staff.
• Direct floor service and reflect hotel and brand culture.
• Create staff schedules to ensure proper staffing.
• Track stock levels, forecast needs and oversee ordering.
• Manage budgets and cost-control measures.
• Ensure safety programs for restaurant, employees, and guests.
• Maintain professional appearance and uphold core values.
• Know menus in detail and enforce hospitality standards.
• Oversee cash handling and POS operations.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and training, hire and develop staff.
• Ensure clean, safe work areas and accurate shift coverage.
• Monitor In-Room Dining operations if applicable.
• Ensure reservation system runs efficiently.
