Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is opening a new Server role at a Birmingham, AL property. The Server welcomes and seats guests, serves food and beverages, and delivers outstanding guest service in a fast-paced hotel/restaurant setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean dining area, assisting with seating, and upholding brand standards. Must communicate effectively, be a team player, and be available for flexible shifts including holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months customer service, hotel or restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must obtain TIPS certification within 30 days (if not certified).
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer/client focus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with eye contact and a warm welcome as they enter the dining area.
• Maintain a proactive guest service approach at all times.
• Assist with seating guests as needed (in the absence of the hostess).
• Provide fast, friendly professional and responsive customer service to hotel & restaurant guests and staff.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with standards and in a professional courteous manner.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition.
• Adhere to all Brand Standards regarding Food and Beverage and Service.
• Assist with the set up and cleanliness of the Restaurant.
• Communicate effectively with Management and other Team Members.
• Use POS system as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/manager.
