Job summary

Montage International is seeking a PBX Operator to manage all incoming and outgoing guest calls and in-house communications with a customer-service focus. The role supports front desk operations, handles messages, and coordinates with hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met.

Qualifications

• Previous communications or switchboard experience preferred.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be willing and able to multi-task.
• Basic knowledge of computers and computer-aided research required.
• Must have excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Answering and processing all incoming/outgoing guest and in-house calls.
• Providing prompt and courteous switchboard services to guests.
• Forwarding messages and faxes to guests and departments as needed.
• Answering basic inquiries for guests in a courteous manner.
• Staying aware of daily events in local area and hotel activities.
• Ensuring wake up calls are properly monitored and placed.
• Posting appropriate telephone charges when required.
• Coordinating communications within the hotel, including emergencies.
• Assisting front desk with miscellaneous tasks as needed.
