Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Sun ValleyKnob Hill Inn, seeks an experienced leader to head the rooms division and oversee housekeeping and front desk operations. You will supervise, train and develop staff, while partnering with the General Manager to align service standards with the property’s goals.

This role requires strong people and financial management, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage with local community organizations to uphold guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a leadership role at a property of similar size and service level.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to prepare reports and contracts.
• Strong general management skills: planning, organizing, decision making, problem solving.
• Strong financial management skills: budgeting, forecasting, expense control.
• Strong people management skills: coaching, motivation, delegation, scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the rooms division including housekeeping and front desk.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and discipline staff.
• Inspire leaders to meet and exceed standards.
• Liaise with community orgs, city officials, and PR.
• Ensure policies and procedures across departments.
• Assist in annual budget and financial plans.
• Work with GM to meet budget targets.
• Protect assets via maintenance, security, and capex.
• Analyze guest and team feedback; drive improvements.
• Serve as People & Culture representative for the property.
• Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding.
• Handle employment verifications and unemployment claims.
• Collaborate with HR to manage leaves and workers' comp.
• Maintain financial records and internal controls.
• Monitor guest ledger and deposits; reconcile ledgers.
• Perform cash deposits and petty cash reporting.
