Job summary

The Fairfield Inn & Suites San Jose Airport is seeking an Assistant General Manager (OEM) to lead hotel operations in the GM's absence, supervise departments, drive profitability, and uphold service standards.

Candidates should have five years of hotel leadership or a suitable degree, strong supervision skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure; certifications like Food Handlers, CPR, and First Aid are preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or F&B) or a related degree with 2–3 years experience.
• Supervisory background required and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments and drive hotel profitability in partnership with the General Manager.
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and support team development.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Analyze financial data and help manage hotel operations effectively.
• Maintain professional appearance and adherence to company guidelines.
