Job summary

Hotel Management and Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations in the GM's absence and mentor the team to consistently exceed service standards.

You will oversee guest relations, housekeeping, financial reporting, vendor relations, and local marketing initiatives, with a focus on teamwork and flexible scheduling to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in hotel leadership, including front desk and back-of-house operations.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong team building skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proactive in solving problems.
• Willing to work a changing schedule.

Responsibilities

• Train and provide guidance to staff; lead staff huddles and support the team to achieve outstanding results.
• Post checks in PMS, manage weekly labor tracker, and prepare payment reports.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards and address guest concerns promptly.
• Assign housekeeping tasks and inspect rooms with GM.
• Build relationships with vendors and guests, and manage inventory.
• Lead in-house sales and local marketing initiatives to increase occupancy.
• Cover employee shifts to ensure operational continuity.
• Follow property emergency procedures and ensure security needs are met.
• Other duties as assigned.
