Job summary

Northern Hotels Group is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee guest service, F&B, rooms and maintenance, aiming to maximize guest satisfaction and drive property development. Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Prior hotel experience required; Marriott experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee guest service, F&B, rooms and maintenance to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Direct main hotel operations and ensure quality checks, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Promote excellence by following the NHG Employee Handbook, including dress, safety and performance standards.
• Maintain cost control while maximizing profit through consistent service delivery.
• Manage the reservation system: inventory, rates, security, group reservations and pre-blocking rooms.
• Ensure cash and credit card handling procedures; monitor accounts receivable/payable.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs; conduct property inspections of public areas and guest rooms.
• Carry out Manager on Duty shifts as required.
• Develop and implement strategies to deliver a positive guest experience.
• Conduct daily department alignment meetings; coordinate with Corporate on revenue opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by GM and Director of Operations.

Education
