Job summary

Extended Stay America in Bluffton, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure guest rooms and property equipment are in good repair and safe for guests and staff. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and adherence to Green Shield procedures.

You will respond to guest requests, perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, and coordinate with management and outside vendors when needed. This position offers weekly pay and a range of health and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Strong math and measurement skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates commitment to guest/associate experience and performs duties with minimal supervision.
• Responds to guest requests and follows through as per guidelines.
• Performs out-of-room cleaning and maintains pristine premises.
• Repairs listed on work orders swiftly and professionally.
• Completes preventative maintenance inspections and follows the Green Shield Binder schedules.
• Keeps accurate records of PM deficiencies, inspections and logs.
• Maintains organized maintenance areas and tool inventories and ensures equipment rooms are clean and safe.
• Assists with emergencies and coordinates with management and outside vendors when needed.
