Job summary

Extended Stay America in Burlington, MA seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep property equipment running, ensure rooms are well maintained, and support safety and housekeeping standards. You will follow Green Shield Binder guidelines, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to guest needs with prompt follow-through.

The role requires reliability, basic maintenance skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a clean, safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English proficiently and interact with guests, associates and outside vendors.
• Understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and company guidelines.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• Assist with resolving guest issues in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a 100% commitment to guest and associate experience.
• Perform maintenance duties with minimal supervision in line with company standards.
• Respond to guest requests and follow through per procedures.
• Perform out-of-room cleaning to keep premises pristine, including trash removal and cleaning of facilities.
• Execute repairs listed on work orders promptly and professionally.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections as scheduled.
• Maintain records as outlined in the Green Shield Binder (PMs, inspections, logs).
• Keep maintenance areas organized and tools secured daily.
• Ensure fire safety equipment is operational and inspections are up-to-date.
