Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician focused on preventive maintenance and repair of the hotel’s mechanical, electrical systems and related equipment. Responsibilities include servicing the pool, grounds, and building exterior while maintaining safety standards.

Position requires knowledge of multiple trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry) and ability to work flexible shifts in a 24/7 hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Ability to identify safety hazards and follow procedures.
• Willing to comply with policies, appearance, safety, and security rules.
• Proficient with HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical/electrical malfunctions.
• Skilled in using basic hand and electric tools.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Familiarity with building layouts and room configurations.
• Ability to work with guests and team members with patience and diplomacy.
• Able to follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunction in mechanical or electrical systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule.
• Maintains pool and services chemicals.
• Maintains building exterior and landscaping.
• Follows safety and security procedures.
• Reports unsafe conditions and incidents.
• Keeps work areas neat and professional.
• Assists other Engineering personnel as needed.
• Performs related duties as requested.
