Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a hotel maintenance engineer responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across the property, including FF&E, grounds, and pool area.

The role requires troubleshooting, routine repairs, and adherence to safety procedures in a fast-paced hospitality environment. It involves shift flexibility and supporting other engineering staff as needed.

Qualifications

• The position requires knowledge of building trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• High mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Must follow safety and security procedures and hotel policies.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunction in mechanical or electrical systems hotel-wide (e.g., HVAC, plumbing).
• Performs preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Serves pool maintenance, adjusts chemicals and cleans filters; logs work orders.
• Maintains exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Adheres to all company policies and safety procedures.
• Reports unsafe conditions or accidents to supervisor.
• Maintains a neat, clean appearance per team handbook.
• Assists other Engineering personnel as needed.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
