Job summary

IHG Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Repair representative to ensure hotel facilities operate smoothly and safely. The role covers repairs, refurbishments, and proactive maintenance to uphold guest satisfaction and hotel standards.

You will work across guest rooms and public areas, follow preventative calendars, and communicate with supervisors about incidents and supplies. A high school diploma and basic trade skills are required, with experience in hotel maintenance preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance or repair experience.
• High school diploma or related vocational training.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, a building management program, or reporting tools like HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance procedures.
• CPO certification is ideal if the hotel has a pool.
• Fitness: standing, bending, and kneeling most of the day.
• Compliance: respect local laws on food handling and service alcohol; fluent in the local language.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance repairs and refurbishments around the hotel.
• Keep equipment organized and ready for the next day.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of areas inside and outside the hotel.
• Support the preventative maintenance calendar to keep operations efficient.
• Be friendly and helpful to guests and maintain a professional appearance.
• Notify supervisor about low running supplies.
