Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Representative to keep the hotel running smoothly, from simple repairs to forward planning for the next day. You will uphold high standards, ensure safety, and be a friendly, helpful presence for guests.

The role requires at least one year in maintenance or repair, familiarity with building management tools, and the ability to handle basic plumbing and electrical work. A CPO license is a plus if the property has a pool.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance or repair work.
• High school diploma or related vocational training.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, a building management programme, and/or reporting tools like HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventive maintenance.
• CPO certification ideal if pool is present.
• Fitness to be on feet most of the day; ability to bend and kneel.
• Compliance with local laws on food handling and alcohol service; fluent in local language.
• Strong communication and a friendly, approachable manner.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish guest rooms.
• Organise supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Maintain safety standards and report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of indoor and outdoor areas.
• Follow preventive maintenance calendar to keep systems efficient.
• Be a helpful, welcoming face to guests.
• Keep supervisor informed about low running supplies.
• Present yourself neatly in uniform and be ready for extra duties.
