Job summary

McKibbon Hospitality seeks a Hotel General Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of our property, supporting the Chief Engineer. You will handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pool maintenance, painting, caulking, and related trades to keep the hotel safe and guest-ready.

You will report to the General Manager and Chief Engineer, delivering high-quality work with minimal guest disruption while upholding McKibbon's Guiding Principles and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ minimum experience in a maintenance-type position.
• Ability to communicate operational activities, priorities, and problems with management engineers and supervisors.
• Knowledge of common causes of equipment malfunction.
• Ability to repair and replace basic heating and air conditioner systems.
• Skills to perform basic painting and caulking.
• Ability to use standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and monitor interior and exterior operations of the property.
• Follow established guidelines to protect assets, associates, and guests.
• Promote guest satisfaction with professional interactions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and timely repairs across engineering trades.
