Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to protect and maintain the hotel’s mechanical and electrical systems, FF&E, grounds, and pool areas. This role requires practical skills and a safety-first mindset in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and support other engineering staff across shifts. High school diploma preferred; candidates with broad trades experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Ability to recognize safety hazards and follow hotel policies.
• Experience across HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywalling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical or electrical system malfunctions throughout the hotel.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a schedule basis (e.g., room care).
• Maintains exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, gardening).
• Adheres to all company policies and safety procedures.
• Assists other engineering personnel and performs related duties as needed.
