Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a Maintenance Engineer to service and repair hotel mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment. You will support the upkeep of the property, pool, and grounds while complying with safety procedures.

The role operates across shifts to meet hotel needs, with responsibilities that span from asset maintenance to emergency response and log documentation. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of building layout, rooms, exits and security blind spots.
• Knowledge of maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Recognize safety hazards and security problems and act accordingly.
• Willingness to comply with hotel policies including appearance and grooming.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing) and other hotel equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis (e.g., room care).
• Maintains pool areas by adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters, and logs work.
• Cares for building exterior, curb appeal, lawn care, painting and landscaping.
• Conducts security patrols and ensures doors and areas are secure.
