Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the Holiday Inn Express in Miami, FL. Responsible for the preventive and repair of the hotel’s mechanical/electrical systems and for the general upkeep of the physical plant, FF&E, pool, and grounds.

The role requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, with attention to safety and a proactive approach to hotel operations at a 24/7 property. Day-to-day duties vary with shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) and other equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Maintains pool and adjusts chemicals; submits maintenance logs.
• Maintains building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, landscaping).
• Follows safety procedures and hotel policies; reports hazards to supervisor.
• Assists other engineering staff when needed; performs related duties as requested.
