Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Maintenance Representative to keep hotel facilities in top condition. You will repair, replace and refurbish items around the hotel, ensuring safety and readiness for the next day.

With a focus on guest service, you’ll follow preventative maintenance schedules, assist with supplies, and maintain a professional appearance in uniform while supporting safety and cleanliness across all areas.

Qualifications

• Experience – at least one year of maintenance or repair work.
• High school diploma or related vocational training.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and building management software.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventive maintenance.
• CPO certification for pool is ideal.
• Fitness: on your feet most of the day; bend and kneel frequently.
• Compliance with local laws on food handling and alcohol service; fluent in local language.
• Great communication: warm, welcoming and easy to talk to.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms.
• Organise supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Maintain high safety standards and report incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel.
• Follow the preventative maintenance calendar to keep systems running efficiently.
• Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests.
• Inform supervisor about low running supplies.
• Look smart and approachable in your uniform.
• Be ready to take on extra duties as needed.
