Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Representative to ensure hotel upkeep, safety, and guest comfort. You will repair, replace, and refurbish items, organize supplies, and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to keep the property in top condition.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or vocational training, and familiarity with building management tools and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance or repair work.
• High school diploma or related vocational training.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, a building management program and/or reporting tools like HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics, and preventative maintenance procedures.
• CPO certification – ideal if the hotel has a pool.
• Fitness – ability to be on your feet most of the day and bend/kneel.
• Compliance – age and language requirements.
• Great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep hotel operations running smoothly to ensure guest experience.
• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish guest rooms.
• Organize supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Follow safety guidelines and report incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel.
• Follow preventative maintenance calendar to keep systems working.
• Be friendly and helpful to guests.
• Keep supervisor informed about low running supplies.
• Maintain a professional appearance in uniform.
• Be prepared to take on extra duties as needed.
